West Nottinghamshire

successfully trek ‘the last degree’ on foot to the pole, gaining
invaluable experience of ambition, endurance, survival and leadership.
Stepping Stones special needs nurseries

with physical disabilities. They also offer invaluable support and respite
for parents. This year Rapid is pleased to be sponsoring Stepping Stones

For two years now
Toyota Manufacturing UK and Rapid have joined forces to organise the
Toyota Technology Challenge. To enter this exciting competition,
designed for key stage 3 & 4, students have to build and design an
environmentally friendly model vehicle. Teams progress through the
competition stages, representing their school at regional and national
level. Students have the opportunity to win up to £1,000 in cash for
their school, trophies and for the best of the best in each category,
a trip to Greece. |
The University of
Strathclyde Electronics Club has also recently benefited from Rapid’s
sponsorship. The club provides a well equipped venue where all
undergraduate students can undertake the construction and testing of their
electronic circuit designs, with easy access to constructional advice and
test equipment. Rapid
has also joined forces with Setpoint Cambridgeshire, BBC Radio
Cambridgeshire, the Institute of Physics and Exscite Ltd, to assist in
Cambridge Science Festival’s Einstein™ Year Radio Challenge & Competition,
in which entrants had to complete the assembly of an AM Radio Kit and
design and build a suitable case for it.
