Watersports Centre is a young company in its fifth year and still developing to achieve
watersports for all.
Proprietor
is John Dowling who has been involved in watersports for the last 20
years, John Dowling started the company initially as a Windsurfing Centre.
But due to demand the centre evolved into a thriving multi activity
centre. Now offering a wide range of watersports activities and dry land
based activities.
John Dowling objective with the help of his enthusiastic qualified staff
is to offer watersports for all, they will train anyone from age 6 and beyond
to undertake watersports safely whilst having as much pleasure as possible.
With the added bonus of offering value for money watersports.
The
Lake:
Is situated In Southwater Country Park in the centre of West Sussex.
Cripplegate Lake is approximately 6 acres in size, which makes an ideal
environment for introducing people off all ages and abilities to the world
of watersports, in a safe and pleasant environment.
Access:
To the lake is very good, with purpose built slipway and pontoons for
launching. And for those who require a wheel chair, there is easy access
to the water; there are paths all around the lake, that are wheel chair
friendly.
Activities
to choose from:
Dinghy Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Canadian Canoeing, Raft Building,
Orienteering, Team Building, & River Journeys.
Safety
The centre is inspected yearly by the:
Royal Yachting Association: for Dinghy Sailing & Windsurfing.
British Canoe Union: For Kayaking & Open Canoeing.
And every two years by: The Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority.
Insurance:
Public liability Insurance for the sum of £10,000,000
We advise all participants to have their own accident and personal belongings
insurance.
