Unicorn is one of the leading producers of theatre for children in the UK.

Through plays and education projects we aim to 'rise to the challenge of a child's imagination'.

We provide invaluable creative and cultural opportunities for children to be inspired and entertained.

Unicorn was founded in 1947 by Caryl Jenner in the belief that 'the best of theatre for children should be judged on the same high standards as the best of adult theatre'.

From 1967 to 1999, Unicorn was based at the Arts Theatre in Leicester Square, London. In 1999, the company moved out and has since produced seasons at venues across London and has embarked on national tours.

Education
Unicorn's Education programme is an integral part of our work with children from Greater London and beyond. That programme is rooted in the belief that a close association exists between drama, story and learning.

In developing projects for children aged 4-12 Unicorn aims to provide opportunities that stimulate, empower and inspire children, their families, teachers and schools.

Our programme is designed to also engage children in long-term projects that foster lasting relationships between all participants and Unicorn.

New Building
Unicorn has an opportunity to create the first purpose-designed theatre for children in the heart of London.

Located on the South Bank, Unicorn's new theatre will provide over 100,000 children every year with the opportunity to see quality theatre and to participate in our education programme.

This unique environment will be architecturally-innovative and will be designed to reflect a child's sense of wonder.

Children will have a place where they will be free to express their imaginations: a place where they can be uplifted and inspired.
