A4e (Action for Employment Ltd) is a people and business solutions company working in the public, private, voluntary and community sectors. Our vision is to improve and develop individuals and organisations that we interact with.

A4e Services for Education is a provider of primary, secondary and special needs teachers, nursery nurses and classroom/integration assistants to schools and community nurseries. We have an excellent retention rate because we support our teams in a variety of ways through regular contact and social events. We also support our partner schools in a similar way. We are a professional, fun team and much of our business now comes through recommendation.

In addition we provide Inset training, curriculum support materials such as exam preparation techniques and educational conferences on subjects including ‘Emotional Intelligence’, ‘The latest Educational Key Issues’, ‘Teachers – Rewarded and Recognised?’ and curriculum specific themes, as well as a variety of other initiatives for schools and teachers. One of our latest initiatives which is taking off in a big way is to introduce staff and students to our healthy lifestyle programme, which includes aspects of dietary advice, healthy living and dance courses – including the innovative New York City Ballet Workout, available for the first time to schools though our specially trained staff.

We operate in an expanding education market within which there is increasing synergy between public and private initiatives.

These are challenging times as the education system goes through another period of change and development and A4e is in a strong position to help schools to meet these challenges.

We run conferences and workshops for specific audiences and offer speakers to conferences and inset days organised by others on a range of topics from drama in the curriculum to approaches to inclusion. A popular day for post 16 students, for example is our course on surviving Sixth Form stress which we call ‘Waving not Drowning’.

We have a range of consultants with a wealth of educational experiences who are available for Ofsted preparation or post Ofsted planning. Our services to schools can be for an extended period of time to explore, for example teaching and learning styles to work through approaches to draw together and develop best practice. We work with students and staff and are more than happy to develop bespoke packages to meet specific needs.

A4e has an understanding of today’s education agenda and the unique challenges it presents to school communities. To assist in the management of this agenda, A4e design and deliver innovate bespoke solutions to pupils, students, teachers and wider education sector.
