The MAOAM Dance Mayhem is the UK’s biggest freestyle dance event for under 18’s. Every year the MAOAM team searches for talented contestants. Can you, or anyone you know, jive like Justin Timberlake or boogie like Beyonce?

All successful teens who make it past the first audition stage will be invited to showcase their tricks, flips and hand spins in one of eight semi-finals to audiences of 1,000s. The most impressive two performers from each semi-final will be invited to the annual MAOAM Dance Mayhem Final. Here, two teens will be honoured with the title of MAOAM Dance Mayhem UK Champion.

Love to dance?

If you are a teenager who has a passion for performing and the moves to impress you could find yourself appearing in the music video of a chart topping pop act and with a place on the books of a dance and model agency.

If that's not unbelievable enough, both winners will also be treated to a master class dance session with a World Dance Champion, a year's supply of delicious MAOAM soft fruit flavour chews and a goody bag crammed with other little treats.

We will soon tell you how to enter 2007’s MAOAM Dance Mayhem!

Feel the buzz of the MAOAM Dance Mayhem final 2006!

On 23 October Chesterfield saw 16 of the country’s most talented under 18 freestyle dancers
competing. With fierce competition in the air all finalists performed their jumps, flips and spins in front of a massive crowd at the Escapade night club. It was a day that no one will forget!

From the start to the very end, the atmosphere was buzzing. Hundreds of clubbers watched the contestants dance. Each of them had to perform twice: first a routine choreographed by themselves, and later a freestyle routine to tracks chosen by the club’s DJ.

During the night MAOAM Stripes were given out to the crowd of clubbers and most importantly, to the finalists to give them the extra bust of energy needed.

The standard was very high, and with such amazing talent and natural ability the judges had a very tough time coming to a decision. As the judges deliberated, 2005’s winners Emma and Stephanie as well as professional freestyler Ar-Leeco, who has danced with R’n’R star Sean Paul, entertained the crowd. In the end Antony from Sheffield and Natalie from Belfast wowed the hundreds of clubbers and panel of judges and were pronounces MAOAM Dance Champion 2006.

Antony said: “It’s a dream come true to be the winner. It was an amazing feeling when the judge read out my name – all the other performers were really talented and I didn’t expect to win at all. I hope to be a professional dancer when I get older so this is a fantastic start.” Natalie said: “The whole night was great fun and hopefully I’ll stay in touch with everyone else who made it to the final.”

Per Henérius from MAOAM said: “The standard at the MAOAM® Dance Mayhem Grand Final was incredibly high but Antony and Natalie really stood out to the judges. They showed us that they have a lot of talent and originality and we are very happy to have discovered them.
MAOAM Dance Mayhem has been running for three years now and the dancing keeps getting better and better – we hope next year’s entrants impress us even further than tonight’s performers.”
