Britvic Soft Drinks has a
long and rich history that extends back to Victorian England and further.
The British Vitamin Products Company - from which Britvic takes its
abbreviated name - was founded in the mid-nineteenth century in the market
town of Chelmsford in Essex. The company was then little more than a home
business run from a chemist's shop, not unusual for a soft drinks producer
of the time. Soon the company was producing all kinds of originally
concocted soft drinks, including lemonades, mineral waters, tonics and
non-alcoholic ales.

Today Britvic are
producing J2O, Pepsi, 7Up, R Whites, Tango and many, many more.
Striving to incorporate innovation into every aspect of the business –
from mould-breaking advertising for products like Tango to advanced
manufacturing and distribution systems.
Britvic upholds a
proactive environmental policy overseen by a dedicated working group.
It ensures that we meet the high standards expected of a company
acknowledged to be amongst the U.K's most environmentally responsible.

Our distribution,
manufacturing and waste disposal policies are under constant review to
guarantee that we are energy efficient, dispose of our waste carefully and
minimise emissions into the atmosphere. Current priorities are the
recycling of packaging, controlling litter levels and developing a culture
that encourages individual responsibility.
