When Canterbury Travel
started tours to Lapland some 24 odd years ago there was no need for
comparisons. We were the only operator featuring tours in ‘Search of
Santa Claus¹.
This of course provided us with one immediate advantage in that we had
our choice of locations in Lapland and were thereby able to select the
very best for our clientele. |

Only Canterbury Travel can
state clearly and without question that we offer only programmes to
Lapland. This is simply all we do, sell Lapland from January to December
each year.

Our Director fell in
love with Lapland and Luosto over twenty-three years ago, and has
spent most of his working life helping others experience the magic
that is Luosto.
He pioneered bringing British travellers there and has continued to
develop and enhance the programmes and services offered. We set the
benchmarks for others to follow. |
Over the years we
have developed close working relationships with many of the local
companies, giving us an unsurpassed support network across Lapland. It is
this network of partners that we trust to operate our safaris and
excursions, knowing that they understand the needs and expectations of our
customers.

We provide you with the
best of both worlds. Escorting you throughout our winter wonderland
will be Finnish personnel well versed in dealing with the Artic
location but also fluent in English.
When it comes to Santa he will fully understand your children, and
will provide appropriate answers fitting totally with the English
expectancy of Christmas. |

Father Christmas
Simply look at the photos of Father Christmas within our brochure and you
will have little doubt that you are meeting the real one. As always it is
the care and attention to all aspects of our tour operation that matters.
As one letter of compliment stated: My 4 year old grandson looked at me
