Colgate are a Worldwide company, which provide oral care such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwashes. Colgate began in 1806 and was set up by William Colgate. After more than fifty years in the starch, soap and candle business, William Colgate died in 1857. The company then became known as Colgate & Company.

Throughout the years Colgate have launched new products. In 1999 we saw the launch of Colgate Whitening and Colgate Superstar. In 1928 the Colgate Company merged with Palmolive-Peet Co. in the USA, and thus another name change followed in the UK, Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Ltd.
