As many
as three million people a year in the UK catch head lice – and every one
of these people can get rid of their head lice easily and painlessly.

Head
lice are parasitic creatures that live in the hair and scalp. They are
concerned only with their own survival and so aren’t picky about whose
head they inhabit, nor do they care about the condition of the hair;
clean or not so clean, either will do.
They
are spread easily from person to person by head to head contact and
are usually treatable using specialised products. |

Head lice
are tiny six legged insects that live in the hair and on the scalp. Around
the size of a sesame seed, they have claws on the end of each leg that
enable them to cling to a hair making them reluctant to leave their host,
unless it’s to travel to another. Most commonly found on children’s heads
(between the ages of three and eleven), head lice do not discriminate:
clean hair, dirty hair; blonde, brunette; old, young – they really don’t
care.
There are also some fantastic and painless products out there, so don’t be
afraid to use them if you have found head lice. Read up on the products to
find the one best suited to you or your family’s needs.
