Guide Dogs provide mobility and freedom to
blind and partially-sighted people throughout the UK. We also campaign for
the rights of those with vision impairments, educate the public about eye
care and invest millions of pounds in eye disease research.

Eye Health
An enormous amount can be done to help prevent sight loss and Guide
Dogs' unique Healthy Eyes website - which can be found under
www.guidedogs.org.uk/eyes - looks at all aspects of protecting
sight - from taking an eye test to eating oranges! There are also
special areas for kids and teachers. You can help spread the message
about looking after your eyes too, by taking part in Shades for a Day
- have fun and look cool! -

Campaigns
Many thousands of people in the UK are vision-impaired and Guide Dogs
campaigns alongside them for rights that most sighted people take for
granted. Feel like a taking a trip to the shops? Maybe going out for
the day by train? Most vision-impaired people are more than capable of
getting around independently and the attitude of others is often more
of a barrier than their lack of sight. Access more info at
