company, Marshall Amplification, was founded in 1962 in London. The
founder Jim Marshall had a music shop and taught playing drums.
Musicians, especially drummers used to meet up at the shop, but many
brought fellow musicians some who played guitar. These guitarists spoke
about what guitars they wanted and the qualities they were looking for
in guitar amplifiers. Qualities they couldn't find elsewhere at that
time. From these beginnings Jim Marshall had the idea to manufacture
amplifiers to their specifications.
Over the years there have been many changes in the music world, clearly
reflecting the diversity of the vast range of products that Marshall’s
currently offer. Regardless of your playing style and needs there is a
