The National Army Museum

Situated in the heart of Chelsea the National Army Museum offers a central venue in one of London’s most attractive boroughs. Housing some of Britain's finest Military treasures and works of art, this dramatic venue boasts ten unique hospitality spaces, and is ideal for staging a variety of events.

The National Army Museum tells the story of British land forces from the Fifteenth Century to the present day, and the history of Commonwealth land forces up to their respective dates of independence.

The National Army Museum in Chelsea houses some of Britain's finest military treasures. As well as chronicling the campaigns and battles fought by the British over the last 500 years the Museum's displays illustrate the social history of the British Army from Tudor times to the present day, offering a unique insight into the lives and experiences of its soldiers. Throughout the Museum paintings, photographs, uniforms and equipment are combined with reconstructions and life-size models to bring the soldier's story vividly to life.

The National Army Museum’s Education Department provides programmes and activities for all age groups and abilities, which are designed to increase enjoyment of the Museum and understanding of soldiers’ lives through the ages. Taught sessions and entrance to the Museum are free, and we try to be as flexible as possible to meet your group’s requirements.
