Education + Conservation = Fun in Paradise!

Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire is a fantastic place to get up close and personal with tigers, lions, monkeys, zebras, reptiles, birds and camels. What makes Paradise unique is the fact you can touch and feed many of the animals. Paradise is widely regarded as the most interactive zoo in the UK.

Paradise always has new attractions. Some of the recent additions include penguins; a white lion, white tiger, a beaver colony, the national Speedway Museum and the Tumble Jungle Indoor play place with a coffee bar serving freshly brewed Starbucks Coffee.

There are many other attractions including 3 themed adventure playgrounds, children’s rides, Paradise Lagoon paddling pool, tractor trailer rides and for a small additional charge the Dinosaur Woodland Railway, On Safari Adventure Golf and Tiger Falls Gold Panning.

We have a daily schedule of animal based education and entertainment shows, meet the keeper activities and feed the animal times.

We have catering outlets around the site with ample toilets. Most of the site is wheel chair accessible. We are able to offer special education packages for people with special needs. We can create meet the animal sessions for the visually impaired or signers for the deaf. (These must be booked in advance).

Paradise has the widest range of range of amazing experiences in Europe where you can feed tigers and lions by hand, to shadowing a keeper, meeting the lemurs, shadowing a big cat keeper, meeting the meerkats, being a reptile keeper for a day, facing your phobia (snakes, creepy crawlies and spiders) and the fantastic MAGIC Day (Meet And Greet Interesting Creatures) where you go behind the scenes. These must be booked in advance and there are age restrictions on the activities. More information can be found at pwpark.com.

Paradise Wildlife Park is situated 20 miles north of London, just off junction 25 of the M25. You join the A10 and travel north leaving the A10 at the Turnford and Broxbourne junction. If you are travelling south join the A10 and leave the A10 at the same junction. We have very good brown and white tourist signage. Visit pwpark.com for more details.

The Park operates a courtesy mini bus service from and to Broxbourne Station for people travelling by rail from London. When you arrive at Broxbourne ask the ticket office to phone the PWP hot line and the Park will despatch the mini bus to pick you up. It’s so easy!

We also come to you! We are proud to announce that Volkswagen Fleet Services – fleet manufacturer of the year for the past 4 years have just renewed their sponsorship of our ‘Outreach Programme’. We are re-launching our Outreach Programme with a brand new conservation-based session, where we bring live animals and artefacts into your classroom with a short film and talk highlighting our important overseas in-situ big cat conservation work in conjunction with ‘the Wildlife Heritage Foundation’.

Every child receives a special conservation comic sponsored by Volkswagen. You will learn more about Paradise Wildlife Park’s support of the Big Cat Sanctuary managed by the Wildlife Heritage Foundation. They have some of the World’s most critically endangered big cats. This special breeding centre is not open to the public. Please go to pwpark.com for more information and costs.
