To help you get a real feel for the places you visit and a better
understanding of the people, their culture and way of life, we keep
group sizes deliberately small. It also means we have less of an impact
on the places we’re visiting. All our groups are headed by an
experienced leader, whose knowledge and enthusiasm for the places you
see and the people you meet will help bring your holiday to life. As
well as showing you the must-see sights and introducing you to the local
culinary delights, your leader will take you off the beaten track to
reveal the area’s hidden gems.

Our passion for seeing our world on foot means we’re
constantly adding new places and itineraries to our programme. Our
latest new destinations include the stunningly unspoilt Montenegro, with
its fabulous beaches, and the wildly exotic Cape Verde islands off West
Africa’s coast. We’re also
operating new holidays to the Seychelles, La Palma and Oman as well as
skiing in Bad Aussee in Austria. Plus, in response to customer demand,
we’ve increased the holidays that have proved especially popular, like
our unique ‘Cruise and Walk’ holidays.

Whichever holiday you choose, your itinerary is far from rigid. After
all, walking is all about freedom - so if you want to go it alone for a
day or two, that's fine. As for where you stay, it depends on the
holiday you choose and the country you’re in. It could be anything from
a tent or hut in the mountains through to a five-star hotel, a small
family run hotel or a lodges.
