Sangs (Banff) Limited
is a family-owned soft drinks manufacturer based in Macduff, on the
Moray Firth coast of North East Scotland. The Sangs name has been
associated with soft drinks since 1896, when a Miss Sang sold fresh,
home made Lemonade on Aberdeen’s Union Street.
The current operation is far removed from those early days with all
production now being carried out on state-of-the-art machinery to the
very highest standards.
Amongst several products manufactured by the company, one of the most
popular and successful is the MacB range of Sugar Free Flavoured
Waters. Since its launch in 1996, MacB has become a familiar sight on
supermarket shelves throughout the UK and abroad.
In these enlightened
days of healthy eating and drinking, MacB is an excellent option. The
main advantages of MacB are :-
-
Sugar Free
-
Natural Fruit
Flavours
-
Less that 3 calories
in a 330ml bottle
-
Made using Scottish
Spring Water
-
No artificial
colouring
-

Still and Sparkling varieties
Shortly after its
launch, MacB helped sponsor a young athlete called Kelly Holmes. Kelly
did a series of “Fun Days” at schools throughout the UK to help to
promote the healthy aspect of drinking MacB as opposed to other
sugary, fizzy drinks. Everyone involved in the production of MacB was
delighted to see Kelly’s success at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.
MacB has gained great
acclaim within the soft drinks industry and in the business community.
In 1998, the MacB Sparkling range were awarded “Most Successful New
Product in 1997” at the Grampian Initiative Awards. These products
also won medals at the bi-annual British Bottlers’ Institute Soft
Drinks competitions in 1999 and 2001.
In 2002, a Still range of MacB was introduced and this won the Gold
Medal at the 2003 BBI competition. |
