Shiner LTD was one of the first companies importing skateboard products into the
UK in 1976 with brands like Lotus, Kryptonics, Gullwing and Sims.

By 1979 and with the overnight demise of skateboarding by ’78, Shiner
diversified into BMX and Roller skating (or Quad Skating as it is known now).
1983 to 86 saw the underground revival of skateboarding when the boards got
wider and the attitude got more hardcore, Shiner were there supporting the core
scene by sponsoring riders and kick starting skateboard media coverage in the
BMX mags also ‘83 saw the introduction of Sims snowboards to the UK market by
Shiner.
1987 Shiner were the first company to introduce inline skates to the UK market
with the “Rollerblade” brand and later on “Roces” |

Over the last 29 years Shiner Limited have continued to support our brands and
the sports that go with the stuff we sell by sponsoring riders at the grass
roots level, supporting shop based local events, a comprehensive advertising
programme, and organising Pro tours like the Bones Brigade tour back in the day
and more recently visits from the Valo inline crew and Krooked summer tour.
