Springboard UK is a young and dynamic organisation which promotes careers in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors – the UK’s fastest growing industry. Owned by an educational charity, Springboard UK provides over 15,000 people with free and objective advice each year, with the support of leading employers such as Thomas Cook, Aramark, Hilton, The Compass Group, Avenance, The NEC Group and City Centre Restaurants. Springteractice CD Rom
An exciting tool to help young people, teachers and parents discover the world of hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism. Springteractive is packed with practical help, information, games and vibrant music. Install it on your own PC or on school/college IT networks and have fun! The fourth version of Springteractive was developed and produced with the generous support of P&G Professional – the dedicated away from home division of Proctor & Gamble. Springboard Charitable Trust
The Springboard Charitable Trust works with young people, the unemployed and disadvantaged groups to improve skills and help with their prospects of a career in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism. We offer support from the provision of advice, guidance and skills development through to work experience, educational and specialist programmes.

A nationwide culinary skills competition for young people aged between 12 and 16, aimed at fostering a passion for cooking and food. The competition is supported by key industry partners and judged by celebrity chefs. It provides a fantastic platform for participants to develop their culinary skills and gives them a real insight into the exciting career possibilities in the world of catering, restaurants and hospitality. Summer School
A three-week training and work-experience programme mainly targeting Year 11 and 12 students, providing short courses, structured work experience and leading into apprenticeship schemes, New Deal etc. Click here for mote details.

Young Managers
This programme gives sixth formers or first year college students a short course in management and business exercises, marketing and planning to excite them about the industry. For more details click here.

Travel & Tourism Programme
The Travel & Tourism Programme (TTP) is the Springboard Charitable Trust’s education programme, working with teachers and their students throughout the UK. The TTP is recognised by industry and education as the UK’s leading source of support, advice, resources and training related to courses in Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism. The TTP offers a high quality service that enables teachers to deliver their courses more effectively and encourages more students to consider careers in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sectors.

Teacher In-Service Training Events
The TTP, together with the Springboard UK regional teams, provides a wide range of teacher training events to support specific units or aspects of school and college courses at exiting and stimulating venues and attractions directly linked with the industry. During 2004, the TTP will be including the following venues and attractions in its teacher training programme: Cabinet War Rooms, East Midlands Airport and Britannia Airways Training Centre, London City Airport and Big Pit National Mining Museum.
