TENNIS BALLS
The UK’s most comprehensive range of mini tennis balls, from cut
foam through molded foam to felt-covered Slocoach controlled
pace tennis balls. And our impressive new Black Dot coaching
ball is now in stock.
TENNIS RACKETS
A range of light, bright and funky 19, 21, 23 and 25 inch mini
tennis rackets. We’ve also got some great deals on performance

KICK START
equipment
This is the kind of equipment you’ll find in the Kick Start
section of our website, which is aimed at hand-eye coordination:
Happy Face
You can hold your Happy Face with both hands, practising
tracking and coordination as you either try to catch a balloon
ball on the sticky, easier side - or, when you've mastered that,
turn it over to the smooth side and practise tapping or
volleying a sponge ball.
Fishing Net
Simple but very effective - and surprisingly versatile - the
Fishing Net is a great fun way of introducing young children to
aiming, tracking and catching skills. Use with the Balloon Ball,
Fluff Ball or sponge balls. Either hold it - or use a hoop clip
to attach the Fishing Net to a pole (or net system) and use as a
free standing target. Net base can be open or closed.
Coaching Aids
From court markers to medicine balls and agility ladders. On and
off court training aids.

Call us on 0161 484 5000 if you’d like to talk to us about equipment
choices for particular teaching situations.
We set up Zsig in 1992
because it was the only way to get hold of the kind of creative
equipment we wanted to use in our own classes. In those days, mini
tennis was taught using plastic rackets and sponge balls. So we started
by making some colourful little strung rackets, and developed a
colour-coded series of balls which look like tennis balls but, with
slower pace and lower bounce, were ideal for teaching. Then we designed
the Zsignet, which revolutionised portable net systems and meant coaches
could set up a mini tennis court from the contents of their bag in a
matter of minutes.
Our product range has grown, and we now supply everything a creative
tennis teaching professional could need, from early years’ hand-eye
coordination equipment through inclusive sports, coaching and training
aids, nutrition and an extensive range of tennis balls, rackets and
nets.
Our strength is innovation. New products include the Slocoach Big Red, a
larger sized yet light and easy to control tennis ball, a new coaching
ball which plays as well as a pressureless ball, a new compact design of
our 20 foot mini net system, and court lines for the LTA’s new ‘orange’
mini tennis court. And we’ve got plenty more ideas on the way.
But we still come back to basic teaching principles. We test everything
out on court. We have experience within the company of teaching tennis
from large classes of young beginners up to top international player
standard. And we are blessed with a network of coaches who are only too
happy to test products with their classes and tell us what they really,
really, really think.
We supply the Lawn Tennis Association, are Official Coaching Equipment
Supplier to the British Tennis Coaches Association, have provided
equipment for many major tennis projects (including supplying the Cliff
Richard Tennis Trail school’s project for the past ten years), supply
international tennis organisations, major educational equipment
companies, local authorities, schools, nurseries, special educational
needs organisations, clubs, coaches and players. Our tennis balls a re
tested and endorsed by the International Tennis Federation. They can’t
all be wrong so, if you see something you like the look of, be tempted!
And call us if you would like any more information on how to use any
product.
Our motto is: its fun to learn! It should be. And it helps if you’ve got
the right tools for the job.
